Free shipping on most orders
Standard shipping is free to the contiguous USA on most of what we sell. Some heavy freight items are not free — and when that is the case you will see the cost before you check out, never after. How our shipping works
100 days to change your mind
Most retailers give you 30. We give you 100, because building out a garage takes longer than a month. If an item arrives damaged or we sent the wrong thing, we cover the return shipping too. Read the returns policy
Cancel before it ships, pay nothing
Changed your mind the same week you ordered? If it has not left the warehouse, tell us and we cancel it with a full refund. No restocking fee, no return freight, no argument.

So we connect you with our network of certified, reputable third-party installers — at no extra cost to you. We source installers in your area, help you compare their quotes, and stay with you through the process. Our job is not finished when the box arrives. It is finished when you are using the thing.

You get an order confirmation straight away. Your card is pre-authorised, not charged.

Who you're buying from
Open Door Garage was founded by Andrew Dincola, out of Lakewood, Colorado. The origin story is not glamorous: a garage so cluttered that starting a project felt like too much effort, and tools buried somewhere in it that he had paid good money for.
That is the whole reason this shop exists — not to move boxes, but to help people turn the most neglected room in the house into the one they are proud to open. We are not a faceless catalogue reselling whatever has the best margin. When you call, you are talking to the people whose name is on the door.
