Fakro Attic Ladders and Knee Wall Doors

Fakro attic ladders are the folding and scissor attic stairs we point people to when the opening is awkward, the ceiling is high, or the attic sits over the garage and the hatch needs a fire rating. Open Door Garage carries ten Fakro ladders and three knee wall access doors, shipped from Fakro's warehouse in Illinois.

Pick by your opening and your ceiling. Every ladder is sold by rough opening, from 22.5" x 31.5" up to 30" x 56.5", and rated to a ceiling height, up to 12' on the LMP. Measure the framed opening and the floor-to-floor height before you choose; the size table on each product page lists both.

Wood, metal or scissor. The LWP and LWT are pine ladders with an insulated hatch. The LME, LML, LMP and LTK Energy are steel, and the LTK's thicker hatch is for attics you heat or cool. The LST and LSF are scissor ladders for openings too small for a three-section ladder, down to 22.5" x 31.5".

Fire-rated where the attic meets the garage. The LWF 60, LMF 60 and LSF ladders and the DWF60 door carry a 60-minute fire rating for openings between a garage and living space.

Knee wall doors. The DWK, DWT and DWF60 are insulated access doors for the storage behind a sloped ceiling, from 21" x 31" to 27" x 43".

Fakro backs its ladders with a two-year warranty and its doors with three years. Freight is charged by zone at checkout. Not sure which size fits? Send us the opening and the ceiling height and we will tell you.
