Platform Design

Will it fit? Minimum ceiling cutout dimensions
The Attic-Lift comes in two standard sizes. Each needs a framed opening slightly larger than the platform itself, so check your ceiling before you order. We also offer custom sizes that meet your specific storage needs.
Standard — 20.75" x 44" platform (22.5" x 46.5" ceiling cutout*)

Max — 28.75" x 56" platform (30.5" x 58.5" ceiling cutout*)


Platform Frame
The platform frame is constructed with a versatile T-slotted framing rail made from 6105-T5 aluminum alloy. The long sides are made with 2 x 1 solid double T-slot and the short sides use 1 x 1 solid T-slotted beams.

Beautiful oak decking, because you don't have to sacrifice beauty in the name of function.
The Attic-Lift is sheathed with a beautiful 3/4 inch thick oak-veneered plywood sheet (5-ply).

Powerful motors so that you can stow away even the heavier items.
The Attic-Lift uses two tubular motors that are synced via the control unit to ensure the platform stays level. Both motors are mounted on steel strut channels, which are anchored with lag screws to your attic's floor joists or rafters. This heavy-duty design allows you to safely lift up to 400 lbs.
These motors run on typical household 100-120V AC, drawing 2.3 amps total.
BURN OUT PREVENTION: These motors come equipped with an automatic cool-down function to prevent system damage if they begin to overheat. This means that your lift can run for approximately 3 consecutive minutes before it will stop in its tracks, allowing it to cool off for approximately 15 minutes.
Pro tip: rather than run multiple trips, take advantage of that 400 lb strength and stack it high!
